Sean Velasco studied at the Cogswell Polytechnical College between 2001 and 2004 and was the leader of the game development club there.

Career

In 2005 and 2006, Sean Velasco worked at Happy Fun Team of which he was a co-founder as a designer and artist, before joining WayForward in November 2006, where he worked until January 2013 on a variety of titles, and provided unspecified contributions to Shantae: Risky's Revenge. In 2013, he left WayForward to found Yacht Club Games as the "Captain", who released their first title, Shovel Knight, in June 2014, after a successful Kickstarter campaign.
