Congrats on the adoption :) Seeing as how activity is picking up again under your direction, I'd like to extend another invitation for the WayForward site to be included in our gaming footers. It can either be listed as WayForward or all the games represented can be listed ;)
As for the Wiki to be included in the gaming footers, of course I'll take anything that can increase traffic here. However, I'm not sure how it can be enforced. Is there a footer for gaming companies, which would be ideal? You mention another option, to list all the games represented, but it might be complicated: so far we only have the Shantae and Mighty! series, but in the future I'd like to have pages for all games WayForward released, and that makes quite a bunch. Any thought?
We've got some sites that cover different series - for instance, in our television footer, we've got ArrowVerse, a site which covers Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow. So it's not an issue ;)
We look at the amount of content covered per series - so a site might cover multiple series, but it's those that are most represented that would be shown. If this site covers Shantae much more than anything else, we can always put Shantae (and WayForward games) on the footer to keep it simple. Let me know which serves you guys best ;)
Well... I suppose option 2 is logical so far. This site covers Shantae much more than anything else per its history, although I hope to develop contents for other series (and games) later on.
I guess this would make this Wiki appear in the platformer footer, which somewhat makes sense, since the most popular games from WayForward fall into that genre. So, why not? I suppose we can always reconsider this in the future if there are some major shifts or anything.
I'll be emailing WayForward today - things were busy the past few days. I'll keep you posted on what's going on.
Also, let's talk color schemes, the colors of the wiki - yes are WayForward colors but are very harmful on the eyes. I'm trying to come up with a few solutions to fix this problem and will let you know.
Thanks for keeping me updated! And yes, about the colours I know - I've been trying to experiment but my mastery of this stuff is still shaky. Besides, some of the colours need to be fixed directly in the CSS, and my programming lessons from college are far behind now...
Well, how about you let me take over with the design then? Then when I'm done, you can decide if it's something you'd like or not?
I'm starting to rethink on the pages for each person individually. There's a lot of WayForward employees and having a page for every single person... starts to become a little too unmanageable. I think just listing the people on the page is fine, but if this is now a WayForward wiki, I don't think people need individual pages anymore.
Sure, suit yourself - I admit I'm not the most competent person for all this and I've been trying to learn by doing. However, if you are already skilled, it's of course better that you take over.
As for the pages for each and every employee, I've been wondering about that too, although not very thoroughly. Perhaps indeed it is no longer the most practical way to have a page for everyone, but I believe there still should be at least a page with succinct biographical summaries for the employees, maybe more as it could be wise to separate former and current employees... I'm writing as I'm thinking so I need to consider this question further. I also think some important folks, like Jake, Voldi Way, Matt Bozon, James Montagna or John Beck should perhaps keep an individual page. I'll take any advice.
