Pirates are criminals of the seas. Risky Boots and her Tinkerbats are the only pirates to appear in the Shantae games. However, it is implied that there are other pirates and that active in Sequin Land, as Scuttle Town employed Shantae as their Guardian Genie for protection against them, even before their first encounter with Risky Boots.
Pirates are frequently heard saying things like Arr! hoist the mizzlemast! and other slurred nautical nonsense.
