ScorpGals are enemies that appear in various Shantae games. They are an aggressive race that live in deserts. They have the head and torso of a human woman, and the claws, body, legs and tail of a scorpion. ScorpGals live apart from their male counterparts.
Shantae
In the first game both male and females are present, but do not appear together. Instead, they have the desert divided into His and Hers.
Males are distinguished by their turbans. Males will attack by plunging their stinger into the ground that then later appears near Shantae. The player is advised to keep moving when in their part of the desert and attack the males by going near them.
Females will attack Shantae directly and may even follow Shantae.
Shantae and the Pirate's Curse
ScorpGals block Shantae's attacks from the front until they attack using their swords. They have no defenses against attacks from above. When defeated they turn into sand.
Shantae: Half-Genie Hero
ScorpGals were originally supposed to appear in the main campaign (as shown by their appearance in early trailers), but were cut from the final game. However, they reappeared in the Pirate Queen’s Quest DLC.
Shantae and the Seven Sirens
A Scorpgal can be found in the Island East area, on the path to the Metal Fish. She guards a cave with a Heart Squid inside.
Another can be fought in the Squid Pit, but only once as part of that dungeon's timed challenge.
The Scorpgal's Monster Card reduces the magic cost of Pike Ball spells.
