Possibly as a reference to the Tremor Engine, Shantae is able to jump between layers of foreground and background in Shantae: Risky's Revenge. However, this is limited to Scuttle Town and the Tangle Forest, while the Tremor Engine is used throughout the entirety of Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution.
