Vagabonds are NPCs that appear in every Shantae game. They can often be found in Scuttle Town. They usually have advice to share with Shantae regarding her adventures.

- A vagabond often refers to a person who wanders from place to place without a home or job.
- At the beginning of Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, the Vagabond found near the Item Shop will tell Shantae that his home was destroyed long ago by a sandstorm that lasted centuries. It is heavily implied later on that the Vagabonds found in Scuttle Town were originally natives of Tassel Town when Holly Lingerbean tells Shantae that her home was also destroyed by a sandstorm that lasted centuries.
